Research Intern

About the Role

You will partner with investment professionals to analyze sectors, track market developments, and synthesize insights for committees and clients. The work is a mix of structured research projects and fast-turnaround requests tied to live deals and portfolio questions.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain industry and company profiles
• Collect and clean datasets from public filings and third-party sources
• Summarize earnings calls, deal activity, and macro indicators
• Create slides and one-pagers for internal use
• Collaborate with the investments team on ad-hoc analyses
• Help track thematic views and key charts for recurring internal meetings
• Document sources, assumptions, and methodologies so work is reproducible

What We Look For

• Progress toward a degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related
• Strong research and writing skills; concise communication
• Comfort working with data in Excel; bonus for Python/SQL
• Ability to read and interpret filings, transcripts, and research quickly
• Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail, including checking your own work
• Structured thinker who can turn messy information into clear takeaways

Nice to Have

• Experience writing short investment notes, memos, or research summaries
• Familiarity with data and charting tools (e.g., Excel charts, basic BI dashboards)
• Exposure to macro, credit, or equity research through coursework or clubs
